About Us
Friends of the Snoqualmie Library is a
non-profit group whose purpose is to
support the Snoqualmie Library through
volunteerism, fund-raising activities,
sponsorship of programs and services, and
increasing awareness of the library’s
vital community role. Membership offers
you the opportunity to share your views,
donate your time, and lend your talents to
make the Snoqualmie Library the best it
can be.
The Friends was originally started in
1986, but our current group came together
in spring of 2003. Our achievements to
date include:
- publicizing and supporting the 2004
bond issue, through which Snoqualmie
got a much larger library
- raising money (through book sales
and a spring plant sale) for library
programs and equipment not funded by
the regular budget
- helping in the site selection
process for the new library
- organizing library programs for
children and adults
- sponsoring the
"ride-and-read" program
which gives free rides to and from the
library
Individual membership is $5.00 per year
and families can join for $10.00. For more
information, please or come to a meeting
or call Arlyn Kerr at 425-396-7875.
Please join this
active and growing group of dedicated
library supporters!
